Freaky Age is a Belgian four-piece Indie-rockband from Ternat who was founded late 2003. After just a couple of gigs they decided to send a demotape to Humo’s Rock Rally edition 2006, a prestigious Belgian contest. They made it to the finals and were, with their average age of 14 years old, the youngest band to ever make it to the finals and to play at the legendary Ancienne Belgique (AB) stage.
At that moment Freaky Age was still a trio (two guitars, drums & vox), but six months after the finals a new bassplayer was introduced.
Early 2007 they were discovered through Myspace by Sonic Wave Management, a French management agency based in Paris. Thanks to them they played in France for the first time in april 2007, in a sold out Zénith Arena (Lille) as support act for the ultra popular French band ‘Superbus’.
In September 2007, Freaky Age released an EP and the single "Time Is Over". The single became a hit on the Belgian radio station Studio Brussel. "Time Is Over" appeared on the Studio Brussels compilation album "De Afrekening 43".
